Employees at East Kentucky Power Cooperative donned their denim to raise funds and awareness for the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Foundation.
Throughout the month of October, employees were allowed to wear jeans on certain days if they made a donation to the UK Markey Cancer Foundation’s Breast Cancer Patient Support Fund.
Thanks to a combination of employee donations and matching funds East Kentucky Power Cooperative presented a check for $2,659.00 to the UK Markey Cancer Foundation. The money will be used for patients in treatment for breast cancer at the UK Markey Cancer Center.
