Markey Golf Classic

May 13, 2019

Now in its 15th year, the Markey Golf Classic is one of the Commonwealth’s premier charity golf tournaments and has raised over $4 million dollars for cancer research in support of the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center. Held at the beautiful Lexington Country Club, this year’s tournament will be held on May 13 and, as in year’s past, will feature a buffet lunch and cocktails on the patio prior to the start of play; on-course games between holes, including a hole-in-one competition sponsored by Audi of Lexington with a chance to win a one-year lease on an Audi automobile; and prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, longest drive, etc. from L. V. Harkness, as well as luxury timepieces for the winning team of two.

All players also receive complimentary tickets to the Markey Golf Dinner, which will be held on May 11 at Castle & Key Distillery. In addition to a cocktail hour, gin tasting and gourmet dinner at one of Central Kentucky’s most prized locations, the evening will also include several live auction items, a Calcutta auction of the golf teams and a lighthearted roast of the golfers.
